Nebula to invest in improving the competitiveness of Finnish SME companies

Nebula, a leading IT service operator is to invest five million euros in the next three years into improving the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises through cloud automation. Investments are focused on bringing the benefits of the in-house developed Cloud 9 service, as well as other international cloud services to small and medium-sized enterprises.

In many Finnish companies, the transfer of applications into cloud-based service model is already well underway and Nebula, as a frontrunner in offering cloud based IT-solutions, wants to accelerate this change, by further investments in cloud automation.

Nebula assesses it to be possible for small and medium-sized enterprises to achieve as much as 15-25% savings in IT infrastructure costs with the help of cloud services and automation.

Pekka Eloholma, CEO of Nebula, says, “We believe in the competitiveness of small and medium-sized Finnish companies and want to do our part in helping to improve it. By introducing cloud services to Finnish SMEs they have an opportunity to significantly reduce the cost of IT infrastructure and at the same time achieve important cost flexibility. Nebula Cloud 9 was first in the Nordics with offering minute-based invoicing.”

Apart from technology and product development, fast-growing Nebula is also investing in its staff.

Eloholma adds, “During the previous two years, we have trained our personnel to become certified specialists in the international cloud services. This supports our goal to be the best Managed Cloud provider in the Nordic region in 2017.”

“We've discovered that several companies have found it challenging to choose the right cloud. We believe that our customers want to choose the most suitable cloud service for their needs, which can be either our own OpenStack-based Cloud 9, Amazon's AWS or Microsoft Azure. This is one of the reasons we have dozens of AWS-certified cloud experts in-house. Due to the growing need of challenging change projects, demand for experts such as ours is even greater in the future”, Eloholma says.
